Discussion groups are designed to be supportive with the primary purpose of creating a peer group for safe sharing and exploring near-death, spiritually transformative, and similar phenomena.

Open to experiencers and interested others, these sessions provide a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others on similar journeys.

Our sharing sessions are guided by experienced facilitators who promote respect for individual uniqueness and create a safe, supportive environment for all participants.

Crossing Over to the Other Side and Finding God Within

Presented by Evan Mecham

Tickets are $10 general admission, $5 for IANDS members. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

"Death is transient, the body is impermanent, we are indeed eternal spirits, and we are truly home again."

— Evan Mecham

There has been so much said about the experiences of those who have crossed over into the spiritual realm - those who have left their sick or broken bodies and slipped into a realm of total peace and tranquility, a place where fear and judgment are absent. Family members, guides, or other trusted spiritual figures greet them as friends and equals. In this place of comfort, the experiencer realizes they will never be the same again. Death is transient, the body is impermanent, they are indeed an eternal spirit, and they are truly home again.

Each of us who has made this journey and returned to our physical bodies and our earthly abode brings these memories back with us. What then? What have we done with this incredible gift of spiritual knowledge? How has it changed our lives? Have we used this priceless realization to amend our actions, to offer our suffering brothers and sisters the same kindness, support, love, and unqualified acceptance that was freely given to us in the world of spirit?

The Accident - The Experience - Aftermath

This presentation will reinforce the concept that life continues after death. Evan will share his experience and aid others in understanding similar phenomena.

Evan Mecham has been a successful American businessperson for over 40 years. He is currently the Chairman Emeritus of BPE, Inc. and lives in Colorado. He has been married to his wife, Jill, for 55 years. Evan and Jill have 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

When Evan was in his young 30's, while driving in the mountains, he was involved in a horrendous automobile accident. He swerved to avoid a deer, lost control of his automobile on the wintry highway, and his vehicle was literally cut in half by a semi-truck. Suffering crushed lungs, a shattered hip, a broken shoulder, and bleeding profusely internally from a ruptured spleen, he exited his devastated body. He found himself in a place of beauty, gentle kindness, and unconditional love. Given a choice to stay or return, his reply shot him back into his broken and freezing body and resigned him to many years of healing and rehabilitation.

His NDE transformed Evan's life. His discussions of what he learned from his crossing have often been uplifting and helpful to those who have listened to his many podcasts and presentations. His life transformed as Evan studied consciousness, earning a master's degree in transpersonal psychology and becoming a teacher of meditation and dreamwork. Being of service was compelling, and Evan found himself as a board director and treasurer of Caritas Spiritual Center in Boulder, Colorado. He then joined IANDS, the International Association of Near-Death Studies, as a board director in 2023 and was recently elected President of IANDS.
